From modest beginnings to one of the largest clubs in the local competition……….

The Mount Crosby Basketball Club Inc. was formed in 1989 with a total membership in that season of 22. From these modest beginnings, the Club has grown to now boast a membership that has, over the years, exceeded 200 players, and consistently constitutes one of the largest components of the local competition.

With players ranging in age from 8 years to the over 40's, our club caters for adult and junior players, male and female, with members drawn from Mt Crosby and the surrounding suburbs of Karana Downs, Karalee, Chuwar, Bellbowrie, Karana Gardens, throughout Ipswich, and as far afield as Brisbane and Toowoomba.

In keeping with our stated mission, "The Pursuit of Personal Development Through Sport", we constantly strive to create an environment where all members of the club can grow. To this end we regularly organise coaching clinics for the junior players, access to coaching accreditation for coaches, parents and supporters participation through the role of team management, and various opportunities for community involvement through positions on the Club's committee. Be they players, coaches, managers, committee-members, or supporters, opportunities exist, through our Club, for everyone to be part of the popular and dynamic game of basketball.

On the court, our success shows through, with many Mt Crosby players selected to represent Ipswich at major regional and state, competitions, in both junior and senior levels.
